Not only did we already see this scene happen from Bella’s perspective, we just spent pages on Edward’s perspective as he saved her (they mostly amount to “Mm-mmm, the blood is tasty”). “My first thought as I landed crouched in the shadows of the trees was her hands, and relief washed over me when I saw they were still attached to her wrists” (pp. Midnight Sun has had a dramatic history with parts of the uncompleted novel being leaked online in 2008. There was no room full of witnesses — they were already the collateral damage in my mind. When Bella’s not around, it’s just stuff like this. Will there be a Twilight Midnight Sun movie, or not? Unless the next instalment of Twilight sees Bella have an affair with her boss (a la the Rupert Sanders *scandal* when, in 2012, Kristen was photographed kissing her Snow White And The Huntsman director Rupert, while he was still married, and Kristen was with Robert) then I don’t want a bloody bar of it.
